چکیده

Constructive approach to learning focuses on the learner’s behavior, enabling a self-adapted exposure to knowledge that is precisely tailored to the learner’s needs and background. The building blocks for such adaptive knowledge construction are the evolving learning objects (LOs) which are self-contained entities that encapsulate a segment of knowledge as well as some metadata attributes and procedures. In addition to complementing the standard specification of learning objects to incorporate selfadaptive learning features within the LO construct, the paper also proposes a learner-modeling technique which learns from the learners about the learners. In this dynamic learner modeling approach, past learning experiences are reused to stereotype future learners. The proposed adaptive learning architecture in this paper supports both navigation and presentation learning adaptivity.

Policy-Based Automation of Dynamique and Multipoint Virtual Private Network Simulation on OPNET Modeler

The simulation of large-scale networks is a challenging task especially if the network to simulate is the Dynamic Multipoint Virtual Private Network, it requires expert knowledge to properly configure its component technologies. The study of these network architectures in a real environment is almost impossible because it requires a very large number of equipment, however, this task is feasible...

Mirror Modeler: A Web Based Interactive Mathematics Modeling System

This paper presents an open user modeler called the mirror modeler that pretends to be the student and solves sample questions while the student watches mimicking student errors. This ability when added to an interactive teaching environment seems to greatly facilitate the learning process for two types of mathematical series while raising a serious question about the complexity of the third.

Learning in an Ambient Intelligent Environment. Towards Modelling Learners through Stereotypes

Ambient learning is an area that combines mobile learning, situated learning and context awareness, where the learners wish to learn anytime, anywhere and anyhow. The context of ambient learners is dynamic and they tend to engage in short bursts of learning, where the learning content must be adapted to the dynamic nature of their learning needs. One of the challenges of supporting such learner...
